ANNE DENTICI
Age 92, of McCandless Township, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. She was the devoted wife of the late Ross James Ficarri.
She is survived by her son, Thomas (Catherine) Ficarri; beloved grandchildren, Daniel and Joseph Ficarri; and her devoted sister, Antoinette (Richard) Matessa. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Petrina (Joseph) Zaffora, Catherine (Mario) Balestrieri and Thomas Dentici. Anne is also lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
Anne dedicated many years of service as a secretary with the North Allegheny School District. She was a member of St. John Neumann Church and the Italian Sons and Daughters of America.
She adored her two grandsons and attended all their activities and sports. She was an avid North Allegheny and Pittsburgh sports fan. She enjoyed playing cards, visiting the Rivers Casino, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
The family would like to thank Commonwealth Hospice and the staff at Ridgecrest Senior Living for the exceptional care and compassion they provided Anne.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, September 4, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., at SIMONS FUNERAL HOME INC., 7720 Perry Highway.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 5, at 11:00 a.m., at Regina Coeli Parish, St. John Neumann Church, 2230 Rochester Road.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Commonwealth Hospice.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.
Tree Planting Timeline
Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
